Dr Dilip Kedarnath Kothawade has won Australian Awards Award for World Record Blood Donor
Centenary world record blood donor and journalist Dr. Dilip Kothavade, whose birthplace is Satana in Nashik district and his workplace is Nashik, started donating blood on his 18th birthday in 1988 and completed a century of blood donation in 2014.

Dr. Dilip Kothavade, who has won more than 150 awards in the 35
years from 1990 to 2025, is the only journalist in the world to complete a
century of blood donation.
While doing his own business and journalism, he feels that he
owes something to the society around him, and with this feeling, he has
provided blood to needy patients, organized blood donation camps for informal
reasons from time to time, constantly tried to remove misconceptions about
blood donation, got help from capable people in the society for orphaned
boys/girls, destitute elderly and disabled, helped disaster victims in natural
disasters, created awareness in tribal areas to understand the importance of
blood donation and not only that, but also arranged food and water for birds,
animals and wildlife. He has done such social work.
Dr. who has done various works Dilip Kothawade has
donated whole blood 144 times till date and has never donated platelets, which
is why Dr. Kothawade's blood donation is considered special. Journalist
Dr. Dilip Kothawade's blood donation century has been recorded in the
Maharashtra Book of Records, India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, World
Book of Records, Bravo Book of World Records as the only journalist in the
world to donate whole blood.
Dr. Dilip Kothawade has been selected among the 101
inspiring personalities of the world in 2021. In addition, on the birth
anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in 2024, he has been
awarded an honorary doctorate by the Gandhi Peace Foundation of Nepal. On
Dr. Dilip Kothawade's birth anniversary, May 29, 2025, his world record of
donating whole blood 145 times has been recorded in the Australian Awards.
